An occasion to celebrate the centenary of the birth of American architect Robert Venturi.

Venturi and Scott Brown helped redefine the language of architecture by moving away from the strict rules of modernism in favour of a more varied, playful and communicative approach to design.

The event is also an opportunity to screen the film Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown—at 5:30 pm in the MAXXI auditorium—which explores the special relationship that the Philadelphia duo had with the city of Rome and its monuments.
