MAXXI’s Collection of Art and Architecture represents the founding element of the museum and defines its identity. Since October 2015, it has been on display with different arrangements of works.

MAXXI turns 15!celebrate the Museum's birthday with us
The collaboration between the Rome Film Fest and MAXXI continues this year too
The Rome Film Fest is back from 18 to 28 October and will be bringing you to MAXXI: holders of a ticket or accreditation for the 13th edition will be offered reduced price museum entrance of €9*.
Protagonists from the world of film will be walking the red carpet at the Auditorium and will feature in the Close Encounters: expected among others are Martin Scorsese e Isabelle Huppert – recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award – Cate Blanchett, Michael Moore, Jonathan Safran Foer, Sigourney Weaver. The opening film will be Bad Times at the El Royale by Drew Goddard. Making this edition of the festival all the more enticing are previews, tributes, retrospectives, exhibitions and more.
As always, the festival takes in a number of locations around the capital: from the Villaggio del Cinema to the city’s movie theatres such as the Cinema Trevi and the My Citiplex Europa, from the Casa del Cinema to Rebibbia Nuovo Complesso and Rebibbia Femminile, through to MAXXI and beyond, hosting a broad and challenging programme of screenings, seminars, tributes, special events and panels: 38 films and documentaries in the Official Selection, of which three in collaboration with Alice nella città, 14 Close Encounters along with the Tributes and Restoration and Other events sections and much more, with the involvement this year of a total of 30 countries.
