Klee was dominated by a powerful inspiration and a relentless creative fury, which he regulated and educated with the most methodical of lives: a very rare case among his fellow artists. Through his Diaries and the prolific theoretical writings he left behind, Gregorio Botta reconstructs and interweaves the formation of a man and the birth of an aesthetic that marked the century.
