The film recounts the life, thoughts and legacy of one of Italy’s most influential photographers: Oliviero Toscani.
Through unseen materials collected by director Fabrizio Spucches, who worked with Toscani for over ten years, the film paints an intimate and surprising portrait, where memory and the present intertwine in a direct dialogue between master and pupil. Toscani’s own voice guides the narrative, accompanied by testimonies from Luciano Benetton, Fran Lebowitz, Patti Smith, Nicolas Ballario and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. A film about art as responsibility, freedom and a critical view of our times.
