MAXXI B.A.S.E. Sala Graziella Lonardi Buontempo – free entrance
In occasion of the donation of the Archive and Library of the Associazione culturale Incontri Internazionali d’Arte, the B.A.S.E., the MAXXI’s Study Centre, will dedicate a day of study to Graziella Lonardi Buontempo, the General Secretary and founder of the Incontri, and the history of her Association.
The day’s events will pursue a chronological investigation of the themes linked to the creation of the archive and the activities that, over the years, made the Incontri Internazionali d’Arte a nodal point for the promotion and divulgation of artistic experiences over the past forty years.
The event will be attended by artists, scholars, authors, film directors and friends with whom Graziella Lonardi Buontempo shared her experiences, interests, and cultural and artistic projects. These friendships gave rise to meetings, debates, exhibitions, books, film festivals and literary awards that defined the history of the Association, and much more.
