An exhibition that uses photography to highlight the deep connection between humans and nature and the urgent need to preserve biodiversity.

The exhibition is an immersive journey to discover the wildest and least known side of Italian flora and fauna. The photographs of The Wild Line, a collective of nature photographers and scientists composed of Marco Colombo, Bruno D’Amicis and Ugo Mellone, show how human activities transform ecosystems, restoring the extraordinary variety and beauty of the Italian landscape.

Thanks to its location in the Mediterranean, Italy is home to a unique heritage of plant and animal species, many of which are endemic. However, this extraordinary wealth is fragile: drought, desertification, rising sea temperatures and extreme weather events threaten ecosystems already under pressure from human activity. Delving deeper into the story, the NBFC documentary highlights how the protection of biodiversity is not only an environmental issue, but also an essential condition for collective well-being: every ecosystem produces healthy water, air and soil, resources that are invisible but fundamental to the life and economy of the country.
