more information

Through a cross-sectional approach, the exhibition traces the creative period of Gordon Matta-Clark, a multifaceted artist, trained architect, playful and radically anarchic, who revolutionised the concept of architectural space with extreme and visionary interventions.

From his experimental years in the self-managed space 112 Greene Street in New York, the exhibition traces his seminal experiences in Italy. In particular, his trips to Genoa and Milan mark a central phase in Matta-Clark’s research and guide his subsequent developments. The exhibition continues with his first interventions on the urban fabric, up to his famous cuttings.

An interdisciplinary exhibition promoting collective and participatory creativity, whose works show Matta-Clark’s commitment to transforming the urban environment into an aesthetic and social experience.
