From 1996 to 1998, she was President of the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in Venice. Since 2014, she has been a founding member of the Venice Gardens Foundation in Venice and the creator and curator of the FURLA Prize for young Italian artists. From 2000 to 2015, she was curator of the Venice Pavilion at the Venice International Art Biennale and the XV Quadriennale in Rome, and was Artistic Director of the Hangar Bicocca in Milan from 2009 to 2012. Since 2023, she has been the Director of the GAM – Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Turin, after numerous international experiences, including curating the Ars Aevi Project to establish the New Museum of Contemporary Art in Sarajevo.
A dialogue between Rome and Turin, the first Italian city to promote a public collection of modern art as an integral part of its Civic Museum, opened in 1863.
Museums in Transition is a series of meetings dedicated to the challenges contemporary museums face today, focusing on the need to remain relevant in a rapidly changing society.
