Before becoming Director of Castello di Rivoli, Francesco Manacorda directed the V-A-C Foundation, Tate Liverpool, and Artissima, and served as Curator at the Barbican Art Gallery. He also taught at the Department of Curating Contemporary Art at the Royal College of Art, London. In 2016, he co-curated the Liverpool Biennial, and in 2018, the 11th Taipei Biennial.

Museums in Transition is a series of meetings dedicated to the challenges contemporary museums face today, focusing on the need to remain relevant in a rapidly changing society.
