An encounter with Giovanna Grignaffini, author of a novel paying tribute to the great actress Marilyn Monroe
A large house immersed in the silence of the woods of the Emilian Apennines and five people whose lives are affected by the mysterious and dramatic story of an actress from the last century, Marilyn Monroe. The shared project for a film on Marilyn is transformed into an opportunity for an investigation of a woman trapped in the role of symbol, myth or icon. Through a musical writing style rich in diverse points of view, out of the novel by Giovanna Grignaffini published by Bompiani emerge the testimony, the proofs, the rumours and also the words of Marilyn Monroe herself. And yet all this is not enough, the truth seems to move further away and lose itself in a play of mirrors composed of conjecture and calculation. So what is to be done? Go back to dreaming perhaps. And allow the possibility of making a wish when a star dies.
