Adam Gopnik has been writing for The New Yorker since 1986, when he was art criticism editor and Paris correspondent. He has won the National Magazine Award for Essays and Criticism three times and the George Polk Award for Magazine Reporting.
He lives in New York with his wife and their two children. In Italy, Guanda has published Through the Children’s Gate: A Home in New York, Paris to the Moon: A Family in France, The Table Comes First, Angels and Ages, Five Windows on the Season and At the Strangers’ Gate: Arrivals in New York.
