A talk on the photographic project born during a two-month residency in Iraq, snapshots of a community that wants to claim its place in the world.
Zubero proposes a look at Iraq in which the meaning of history unfolds to appeal to our Western imagination. The simplified game of conscious photography is composed of a complex web of signifiers, each ready to develop and to question the viewer about its status as a historical document, as an ethical imperative.
