MAXXI Piazza, Spazio YAP – admittance free

A documentary on the Venetian architect, capable of combing the action of the past with the innovative charge of his design: Carlo Scarpa (1906-1978) was radical in his approach to the renovation of historical buildings. His vision was simple: historical buildings should be restored given that they form part of our heritage. In tackling history he combined rare and precious materials with the most common, uniting the rough with the smooth, celebrating the difference between function and luxury.
