The second edition of Contemporamente, MAXXI’s season of events featuring the leading figures of 21st Century arts and culture: from the pianist Michele Campanella to the director Francesca Archibugi, from the writer Niccolò Ammaniti to the jazzman Stefano Bollani and through to the journalist Giovanni Minoli: ten encounters, five before the summer and five in the autumn, exploring the themes of “contemporaneity”.

One of the great contemporary jazz musicians, Stefano Bollani, together with Marino Sinibaldi, director of Rai Radio 3 and author and presenter of radio and television programmes, will be discussing whether there is any sense in talking about musical genres today: “After years of studies, research and avant-garde movements, music must be reconsigned to the universality of art.”
