RE-CYCLE ITALY

Guido Reni Hall – admittance free subject to availability of places

A day for the final presentation of the research curated by MAXXI and 11 Italian universities

Three years’ work, dozens of publications and three concluding volumes: the 11 PRIN RE-CYCLE ITALY research groups distributed in the same number of Italian architectural schools that were assigned the task of investigating and extending the theme launched in 2011 with the exhibition Recycle, are presenting the results obtained in the presence of important institutions and guests with particular interests in the theme of architectural and urban recycling.
With this event, the over 100 researchers who have worked for three years on the crucial issue of recycling will be consigning the wealth of data, mappings and proposals to cultural figures and representatives of those institutions that should above all others be involved in the question. The hope is that once again this not so much the conclusion of a project but rather an essential phase in its relaunch, taking it to a more operational and concrete level, ready to bring benefits to the community.

The 11 universities involved in the project are the IUAV of Venice, the Polytechnics of Milan and Turin, Genoa, La Sapienza in Rome, Federico II in Naples, Camerino, Chieti-Pescara, Palermo, Mediterranea in Reggio Calabria and Trento.
