Peripheral Objects

The periphery as a “peripheral social condition”, art and architecture as resistance to decline: the two artists Mohamed Bourouissa and Tobias Zielony, together with the architect Piero Orlandi, responsible for architecture and photography at IBC in Bologna, and the superintendent for Architectural, Landscape, Historical and Artistic Heritage for Naples and the province, Stefano Gizzi, describe, discuss and tackle in a direct and stimulating manner an issue frequently neglected, forgotten or distorted.

Also participating in the seminar will be Pippo Ciorra, senior curator at MAXXI Architettura and Adelina Vlas, curator of Peripheral Stages. Mohamed Bourouissa and Tobias Zielony.

The exhibition Peripheral Stages (16 February – 27 May 2012) will also be presented in the Claudia Gian Ferrari Hall on the occasion of the seminar.
