MAXXI… “SALES”!

From Thursday 10 to Sunday 20 January 2013
REDUCED PRICE TICKETS FOR ALL
FOR YOUNG PEOPLE UP TO 26 YEARS OF AGE – ONE PAYS TWO ENTER

Rome 9 January 2013. Following the special opening hours over the Christmas period (with visitor numbers 5.4% up on the previous year) and ahead of the exhibition Alighiero Boetti in Rome due to inaugurate the new season on 23 January, MAXXI is greeting 2013 with a new offer for its public, especially the younger members.

From Thursday 10, through to Sunday 20 January 2013, reduced ticket prices for all (€8.00 rather than €11.00) and for young people up to 26 years of age, a further incentive: one pays the reduced price and another enters free.

As Giovanna Melandri, the president of the Fondazione MAXXI says, “This is another gesture in favour of our visitors, whom we would like to treat ever better, with consideration and attention. We feel that it is important, in this time of crisis, to lend a hand to cultural consumption too. The museum’s offer today is extremely rich. Visitors may discover Le Corbusier’s love of Italy, the fantastic world of William Kentridge, the sparkling cities of Grazia Toderi, the light installations of the exhibition Projections and the models of the architecture that has transformed Italy from the 20th Century to the present. We are reaching out to those who have never had the chance or the time to come to MAXXI. Or simply those who would like to return. In particular, we are appealing to young people: it is they who are the point of reference for this museum projected towards the future.’
