Meet the Iranian writer who created an enthralling family saga about the life of an entire family throughout the 20th century

Sudabeh is a typical wealthy girl of post-Revolutionary Iran. She is part of an important family, which wants her to marry a man of appropriate social status. However, the girl is in love with a culturally and socially inferior man. While Sudabeh fights for her impossible love, her mother seeks advice from aunt Mahbubeh, who tells her about a similar love story she had when she was younger. Thus, a new, parallel storyline begins, which takes the reader back to pre-Revolutionary Iran, at the time of the Shah.
