Critical thinking and the role played by Zevi in the process of the renewal of Italian architectural criticism.
A series of talks organized on the occasion of the exhibition Zevi’s Architects. History and counter-history of Italian architecture 1944-2000 exploring the figure of the great Italian designer through the words of international academics and lecturers.
In the first event, the curators of the exhibition Jean-Louis Cohen and Pippo Ciorra will be talking to Massimo Teodori, Italian historian, politician and journalist.
Always committed to politics and civil rights, during the Fascist period Bruno Zevi was a member of the clandestine movement Giustizia e Libertà and directed the Quaderni Italiani. From the Second World War he was a militant member of the Partito d’Azione, Unità Popolare and finally the Partito Radicale, this last experience that allowed him to disseminate the concept of an organic architecture linked to the environmental context and capable of seeking and finding an equilibrium with nature.
