Balthus, Renato Guttuso, Jim Dine, Cy Twombly, Mario Schifano, Sandro Chia, Enzo Cucchi and Mimmo Paladino, all great names of contemporary painting. What do they have in common?

Memmo from the “Ditta Poggi”, the most famous art supply shop in Rome, in Via del Gesù, near the Parthenon. Working since 1962, when he was 18 years old, not only has he become the “alchemical traveller” supplying the painters, but also their confident, their friend and a fan of their creativity.

The documentary by Daniele Costantini (Italy 2019, 62’), with lighting by Maurizio Calvesi, recounts the life of Memmo, an integral part of the capital’s painting tribe.
