Screening of the film by Liliana CavaniFrancesco

MAXXI Auditorium – admittance free

For the third time the director tackles the figure of Francis of Assisi.
The film explores three fundamental periods in the life story of Francis, in a narrative arc unified not only by the development of the protagonist, but also the experience of his fraternal friends Chiara and Elia.

As Cavani said in an interview, “Francis is one of the best loved human and spiritual figures, always considered to be the most revolutionary in terms of modernity and thinking. His life is of a remarkable currency and is all the more so today when the crisis is obliging us to come to terms with degrowth and increasing inequality.”
