The artist will meet the public to speak about his work and his participation in Bienalsur – Bienal Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo de América del Sur.
On the occasion of the focus dedicated to him, Eduardo Stupía will speak about his work and Ulises inmigrante. Una fantasía gráfica. By building upon the concepts underlying Bienalsur, the video by Stupía revisits Ulysses’ journey by the use of texts, sound compositions and images.
Stupía combines audio-visual and literary elements and makes a heterogeneous use of materials and iconographies in order to deal with the themes of migration and exile. A series of analogies, metaphors and resonances accompanies the hero’s journey, which is described in a kaleidoscopic fashion thanks to Daniel Samoilovich’s texts, Pablo Ortiz’s music and Julián D’Angiolillo and Daniela Seggiaro’s visual technology and editing.
