Mattirolo, Anna

Born in Rome, she obtained her Postgraduate degree in Letter cum laude at the University of Turin in 1979: her final thesis was on the History and Criticism of Contemporary Art. She then receive a Master degree at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. She has been Director of Art Department at PARC since 2003 and Director of MAXXI Arte until 2015. She is in charge of scientific research, documentation and educational services for the Museum. Among the special duties is the curatorship of Contemporary Art Section of publishing of the General Directorate. She is member of the Logistic Secretariat of the Contemporary Meaning. Art and Architecture in the Italian Mezzogiorno, and of the Steering Committee for the Promotion of Contemporary Art and for the Region of Sicily.
