Marcello Vittorini. Un archivio per la città

Friday 7 June, 18.00
MAXXI B.A.S.E. Graziella Lonardi Buontempo Hall – admittance free

The book Tribute Marcello Vittorini. An archive for the city, edited by Angela Marino and Valeria Lupo, brings together the papers from the conference “Omaggio a Marcello Vittorini. Un’architettura per la riscostruzione”, held at L‘Aquila in the March of 2011.

The day offered an opportunity to launch, with academics and experts, a general reflection on the work of Marcello Vittorini, in parallel with an initial revision of the professional archive that Vittorini donated to the University of L’Aquila.
The presentation of the book itself offers a chance to review Italian planning in the second half of the 20th Century in which Vittorini was one of the leading figures: within the profession and in terms of teaching, the political debate and his personal commitment.
