New Italian Art explores the contemporary Italian art scene, illustrating the evolution of the trends and creative idioms of the last decade. Who are the most interesting Italian artists? How do they express themselves? Do they privilege painting and sculpture or are they more interested in multimedia techniques? Are their works ironic and playful or do they tackle issues associated with current affairs?

Ludovico Pratesi introduces collectors and enthusiasts to the world of emerging art, selecting 60 artists presented by critics of the same generation to explore a vital and dynamic scene that testifies to Italy’s capacity for expressing new talent in the crowded territory of the contemporary.

A text that brings together established artists – such as Francesco Vezzoli, Paola Pivi, Micol Assael and Diego Perrone – and emerging young talents who have already participated in important exhibitions in Italy or abroad or who have won important prizes, shedding light on the evolution of the art of today and tomorrow.
