This event, subdivided into four successive installations, sees MAXXI Architecture exploring a new approach to the theme of monographic exhibitions. Rather than a series of individual anthological shows this complex programmes is designed to create the conditions for intensive and productive dialogue between some of the most interesting figures in contemporary architecture: Francesco Venezia, Campo Baeza, WEST8 and UN Studio.
The theme underlying the series, NATURE, represents the ideal common denominator linking four studios constantly committed to exploring the relationship between nature and artifice.
The four authoritative and original designers have therefore been called to tackle the same theme and to confront one another in sequence within a single museum space. Their works are configured as successive chapters of the same story, or rather as a multiple image of contemporary design.
In the individual installations, the four guest designers will on the one have the opportunity to create a specific space, capable of representing themselves and their relationship with the theme NATURE and on the other to exhibit one or more of their projects with a focus on the theme.
