The relationship between art and the natural landscape in the history of some of the world’s leading contemporary art parks
Whether they are the result of private collecting or conceived specifically as public spaces, these areas are true open air museums in which the works have a relationship with the nature that surrounds them and interact between themselves in new and unexpected ways: a form of experimentation that over the years has acquired increasing importance.
In the third lecture of The Histories of Art the architect Andrea Zegna and Cecilia Canziani, art critic and curator, will be talking to us about All’Aperto, the public art project commissioned by the Fondazione Zegna to render contemporary art accessible.
Since 2008, the project, curated by Andrea Zegna and Barbara Casavecchia, has developed around Trivero, in the province of Biella, a series of permanent works realised ad hoc, that address the community, valorizing the territory: from Daniel Buren to Alberto Garutti, from Stefano Arienti to Roman Signer, from Marcello Malobeerti to Dan Graham through to Liliana Moro. A real example of how public art can create dialogues with diverse worlds.
