The first edition of Museum Booster, the hackathon targeted to developers, programmers, designers, makers, communication and marketing experts, copywriters, data analysts, and art directors, will take place on 21st and 22nd October. Its aim is to develop ideas and services aimed at reinventing and enhancing museum experiences. It is a great opportunity to meet people who share the same passion for the digital world and new technologies and spend two unforgettable days with them.
Registration will be open on this site from September.
The winning project will be developed with the support of the MAXXI, and made available to its visitors for a year!
Finding innovative digital solutions to enhance the museum experience of visitors, thereby making it more open and enjoyable.
Coders, designers, developers, makers, communication experts, startuppers, copywriters, art directors, and data analysts interested in technology, innovation and art who might have an interesting idea or project to develop within the framework of the competition.
Participation is free of charge and open to groups (whose number of components can range from 4 to 8) or single individuals who will be able to form their group on the very hackathon day, either autonomously or with the support of the organisation.
In order to enrol, Teams or single individuals are to be registered by filling in the registration form by 13th October 2017 at 12.00 p.m.. A maximum of 100 participants can enrol.
The hackathon will begin at 9:00 a.m. on 21st October 2017, and will end at 7:00 p.m. on 22nd October 2017.
The competition will start at 11:00 a.m. on 21st October, whereas the prototype/mock-up and presentation will have to be handed in no later than 4:00 p.m. on 22nd October.
A jury will assess all quality and level of innovation of the works presented by the teams.
1st Team: 5,000 euros
2nd Team: 1,500 euros
3rd Team: 800 euros
