A selection of the best Italian and international documentaries on contemporary art from the Art Doc Festival archive.

Each evening an art historian or critic will introduce the series Arte in Video followed by the screening of two films.

Invenzione di Don Chisciotte (Italia, 2006, 5′, italian) by Massimiliano Pacifico
The contemporary artist Mimmo Paladino lends colour and form to the melancholy verses of the poet Edoardo Sanguineti, masterfully interpreted by the voice of Toni Servillo.

Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict (Usa, Italy, Great Britain, 2015, 80′, english, sobtitiles in italian) by Lisa Immordino Vreeland
Heir to the fortune of the Guggenheim family, Peggy was a key figure in the world of contemporary art: a collector not only of works but also of artists. Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict is a documentary on the life of this art icon, based on her biography.

Art Doc Festival is a cultural association founded by Antonella Greco, Benedetta Nervi and Lia Polizzotti to enhance knowledge of art and architecture through video, with the objective of offering the public a chance to view the best documentaries of recent years.
