Poetic documentary films where personal stories intertwine with collective accounts.

A focus on the work of French-Moroccan artist Bouchra Khalili, on the occasion of the road to justice exhibition, to present, for the first time in Italy, her two artworks entitled The Tempest Society and Twenty-Two Hours: the former was produced on the occasion of Documenta XIV in Athens, whereas the latter was produced after a long stay in the USA.

The artist’s work revolves around resistance strategies against the arbitrary nature of power: her personal artworks see personal stories intertwine with collective accounts, thereby questioning the complex relations between the public, the private, identity and memory and highlighting the visual and narrative models typical of the transmission of stories, thoughts and utopias.
